Chuck Hansen
Chuck Hansen: Speaker, writer, humorist...
The world has gone nuts.
Technology, the economy, globalization, diversification,
increasing workloads, decreasing security, vanishing work-life balance,
loss of perspective, the pace of change, the pace of business, the pace of life...
Keeping up is challenging; keeping sane is next to impossible.
Through his clean, high-energy presentations, Chuck Hansen provides organizations and their people with strategies for sanity in this world gone nuts. His funny and insightful stories are gleaned from a life of adventure and 20 years working in some of America's most (and least) successful organizations. Chuck will help reenergize your people and organization with the balance, perspective & enthusiasm they need to succeed.
Chuck uses insightful humor to connect with his audience and inspire people to look at their personal and professional lives in a new way. His message connects with everyone in the audience and he delivers it with authenticity and high energy.
Chuck's early 'career' was full of (mis)adventures, working in a wide range jobs such as bouncer in a Caribbean saloon, blackjack dealer, private detective, stand-up comic, donut maker, daycare teacher, waiter (for 2 hours), and other "unique" jobs!
After discovering his direction in life while crossing the North Atlantic on a 53-foot sloop, Chuck embarked on a new career path, accumulating impressive education and business expertise, including a master's degree and serving as press secretary for a member of Congress, speechwriter for a Virginia governor, and executive speechwriter with three Fortune 500 companies.
Chuck Hansen is the author of two books, including Build Your Castles in the Air: Thoreau's Inspiring Advice for Success in Business (and Life) in the 21st Century and a collection of humorous essays called Nose-Sucker Thingees, Weeds Whacking Back & Cats in the Bathtub: Does Life Get Any Better? Chuck also writes a regular humor column for the Chesterfield Observer, for which he won a Virginia Press Association award in 2010 for weekly newspaper column writing, and his writing has appeared in a number of regional and national publications.
