John B. Molidor
PhD, CSP
MI, USAs a professor of psychiatry, Dr. John B. Molidor is most interested in understanding and modifying the behavior of others - both in a Crazy Good and Crazy Bad way.
Through his work at Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine (and its affiliated teaching hospitals), he has assisted other organizations in designing comprehensive interviewing and selection processes to choose the top individuals for maximum fit, productivity, and mutual benefit.
As the CEO and President of Michigan State University's Flint Area Medical Education, he knows how to bring fierce competitors together to achieve something they couldn't do alone. As such, he also knows what it is like to be in the trenches in an industry (medicine) that is undergoing massive change and conflict.
John comes from a very large family where he says he learned first-hand about generational differences from sitting around the dining room table! It is also probably the place where he learned his interviewing skills. He has worked with all four of the different generations in the workplace and knows what makes them behave the way they do (or at least he thinks he does). From this knowledge, he has helped others to understand the different values of each generation and to create better work environments as well as sharper teaching and educational tools and systems.
He is also very interested in how the brain works and how one can produce brain-friendly presentations and work situations, using lessons from neuroscience and psychology.
John is the author of Crazy Good Interviewing! How Acting A Little Crazy Can Get You The Job, published by Wiley and Sons.
He draws upon over 25 year's worth of experience from speaking from the platform as well as from academia.
Some sample titles of his presentations include:
- Getting Answers To Questions You Can't Ask! A Fresh Look At The Selection Interview
- It's SHOW TIME! Mastering the Art of Being Interviewed
- Rock Paper Scissors (Lizard Spock): Using Old Techniques To Resolve New Conflicts
- Here Comes Gen Y! Interacting With The Next Generation of Workers and Learners
- Type Cast: Exploring Personality Differences in the Workplace
- Getting Inside The Brain of Your Audience! Create A Message With Lasting Impact
